The point of Olympic Biathlon

Why do they have a sport in the Winter Olympics where you ski and shoot? There is no connection between the two. Skiing and shooting have NOTHING in common!

The Olympic games are made up of a lot of sports that test people's skills and talents testing accuracy, speed, height, distance, and other things. They have some really cool athletes; well of course, that is why they usually win medals... There is figure skating, which I can understand why it is a sport. They run around on the ice twirling and trying not to fall. There is snowboarding, where they fly down the halfpipe, flipping and spinning in the air. There’s also bobsledding, curling, downhill skiing, cross country skiing, etc.

These are all normal sports that we like to watch because of the skills of these amazing athletes from around the world. But putting in the biathlon is crossing the line, causing people to stare at the TV and wonder why they would throw in such a bizarre sport.

Skiing and shooting… I don’t get it. I think anyone that really wanted a medal in that would get out their gun and shoot the other contestants that are a threat to them. I’ll bet not a single one of them has not thought about doing something like that. It just shows how crazy this sport is. Whoever thought of it is trying to deceive people’s minds and make them want to go insane.
