"The Princess Bride"

I love this book. This tale of "High Adventure and True Love" is one of the greatest books writen. The story of Westley, the farm boy, and Buttercup, the most beautiful woman in all the land, could make me happy whenever I read it. There are chases, swordfights, revenge, true love, monsters, evil princes, and miracles all tied into one marvelous book. All of these things make this book absolutely terrific.

The book starts out with Buttercup's life on the farm, and when she falls in love with Westley. This part always makes me feel happy when I read it, probably because I am a girl and I like reading those kind of things. But it's just so incredible how much they love each other, but they can still act like jerks to each other. Throughout the book, they always think of each other, and do things that only someone totally in love would do, which I think is awesome.

The author has a humerous way of writing, and it is just so fun to read his writing, that it is very hard to put the book down. The whole sword fight with Westley and Inigo, a man seeking for revenge, on the Cliffs of Insanity is so intense, but so witty, like the rest of the book, that you just smile when you read it. The whole "I am not left handed" thing is just random, and I think, "Okay..." The characters are always doing something, which is why it is a tale of "high adventure."

The rest of the book is just so funny and well writen that you can't help but to like it. Fezzik, Inigo's giant friend, and Inigo battle off monsters to get Westley so that Inigo can get his revenge. they find Westley dead after going to so much trouble, but then take him to Miracle Max, and he is brought back to life. And of all the randomness, when they need a wheelbarrow and a holocaust cloak, they have them, and are able to save Buttercup from the evil Prince Humperdink.

Because of all these things in the book, it makes it so much more enjoyable to read than something like "Pride and Prejudice," where all they do is go to people's houses and get mad at each other. "The Princess Bride" took me hardly any time at all to read because I just could not put it down. That just shows that is it a good book because it usually takes me a long time to read any others. So that must mean that this book is one of the greatest books of all time.
